DELTA, B.C. – A Canadian man, who fled out of his sex trial in Arizona, has been arrested in Canada more than two years later. According to authorities, Wilcox fled the state before his trial ended and, in his absence, was found guilty of two of the charges.
His sex crime was charged in Pima County, Arizona, in 2009 with four counts of sexual contact with a minor child under the age of 15.
George Ross Wilcox was arrested on July 30 and is being held on an outstanding extradition warrant, according to the police in the Metro Vancouver suburb of Delta, B.C.
The officers in Delta will continue working with the Justice Department as the extradition process continues.
